Veterinary Pharmaceutical Solutions (VPS), a Minnesota-based animal health company, is marking its 30th anniversary with a major facility expansion in St. Peter. The newly completed project nearly doubles the size of the existing pharmacy, giving VPS more space to develop, produce, and deliver custom medications for livestock and poultry producers.
The expansion includes multiple state-of-the-art compounding rooms, a larger research and development area, a microbiology lab, and added warehouse capacity. These upgrades are expected to help VPS accelerate the creation of new animal health products and improve its ability to meet the changing needs of veterinarians and farmers.
The company’s specialty is compounded medications—custom-made treatments designed for specific animal health needs. This personalized approach is especially important in livestock care, where targeted solutions can support herd health and productivity. With the expanded facility, VPS can now develop more of these tailored treatments, explore alternative formulations, and handle more complex compounding needs.
The pharmacy upgrade was completed with the support of investment partner Granite Creek Capital Partners. VPS began construction in August 2024 and received approval to occupy the new space from the Minnesota Board of Pharmacy in April 2025. The expanded operations continue to follow strict FDA and state pharmacy regulations.
VPS offers a range of products, including antibiotic-free solutions such as UltrAmox™, Meloxicam, Iversol™, Mendicin™, Healicin™ ABF, and UltraFlor™. With its new facility, the company aims to build on three decades of experience by bringing even more innovation and quality to animal health care.
