
The Ontario government is now accepting nominations for the 2025 Excellence in Agriculture Awards, which celebrate the people and organizations driving innovation, sustainability, and success in the province’s agri-food sector.
These awards recognize the outstanding contributions of farmers, food processors, businesses, and industry leaders who help grow Ontario’s $51 billion agri-food industry. The program highlights those making a difference through leadership, creativity, and commitment to excellence.
For 2025, awards will be presented in the following 12 categories:

Northern Business Excellence

Workforce Excellence

Women’s Excellence

Education Excellence

Supply Chain Excellence

Indigenous, Métis or Inuit-Owned Business or Community Excellence

Farm Family Excellence

Urban Agriculture Excellence
Nominations are open until September 2, 2025, and can be submitted online. Individuals, organizations, and businesses are encouraged to either nominate themselves or others at ontario.ca/agrifoodinnovation.
The awards support Ontario’s Grow Ontario Strategy, which promotes locally produced food and strengthens awareness of the value of choosing Ontario-grown products. Through this program, the province aims to recognize agri-food excellence and inspire continued innovation across the sector.
