Merck Animal Health has announced a $50,000 donation to the National Professional Agricultural Student Organization (PAS) to support its newly established Educational Advancement Program. The contribution makes Merck Animal Health the inaugural donor for the initiative, which aims to strengthen agricultural education, particularly in two-year and community-based college programs.

These institutions play a vital role in equipping students with hands-on skills necessary for success in the agriculture industry. The donation will help fund grants for educational programs, student scholarships, and leadership opportunities, ensuring that more students have access to practical training and career development resources.

The announcement was made at the 2025 National PAS Conference in Sheridan, Wyoming, where industry leaders emphasized the growing demand for skilled agricultural professionals. With a need for a stronger workforce pipeline, the initiative will enable institutions to expand their program offerings and attract more students to agriculture-related careers.

PAS, dedicated to preparing two- and four-year college students for the agricultural workforce, offers skill-building, networking, and leadership development opportunities. Applications for the Educational Advancement Program will be available starting March 24 on the PAS website at nationalpas.org.
