Loveland Products, a leading provider of crop input solutions and a subsidiary of Nutrien Ag Solutions, is expanding its partnership with Ascribe Bioscience to introduce new Phytalix premixes in the U.S. market. This move strengthens Loveland’s biological crop protection portfolio and aims to offer innovative solutions for growers.
Building on a successful collaboration launched in 2023 for U.S. row crops like cereals, corn, and soybeans, the companies are now expanding their offerings after three years of promising field trials. Phytalix, a biofungicide derived from soil microbiome molecules, enhances plant defenses and provides broad-spectrum disease control. Its novel mode of action helps manage fungicide resistance and works effectively when combined with other fungicides.
This expansion is part of a broader strategy by Nutrien Ag Solutions to diversify its proprietary crop protection products. The new Phytalix-based offerings will provide added value to U.S. row crop growers, with EPA product submissions expected by the end of 2025.
Loveland Products continues to invest in advanced, effective crop protection solutions, with recent launches like N-FINITY for nitrogen efficiency and TERRAMAR for stress mitigation. Nutrien’s extensive distribution network ensures these innovative products can scale to meet growing grower demand.
