Lindsay Corporation Launches TowerWatch to Streamline Pivot Irrigation Monitoring

555

Lindsay Corporation has introduced TowerWatch, a new alignment monitoring tool designed to enhance the efficiency of center pivot irrigation systems. The product is the latest addition to the company’s SmartPivot Solutions suite and is now available on new Zimmatic pivots, as well as compatible with most existing pivot systems across North America.

TowerWatch is engineered to identify specific tower alignment faults within an irrigation system, significantly reducing troubleshooting time for growers. When integrated with Lindsay’s FieldNET Premier platform, the system provides real-time alerts to inform users of alignment issues, allowing them to locate and address problems more quickly—potentially cutting troubleshooting efforts by up to 75%.

By pinpointing the exact location of a tower fault, TowerWatch reduces the need for time-consuming field walks. Instead, growers can use the FieldNET mobile app to receive instant notifications, remotely manage irrigation settings, and focus their attention directly on the affected span. This targeted approach not only improves operational efficiency but also helps maintain precise water application, reducing crop stress and irrigation downtime.

The new feature is available as a standard offering on all new Zimmatic pivots and can be installed as an aftermarket upgrade on most existing systems, regardless of brand. Beyond saving time, the enhanced monitoring capability can lead to reduced water and energy consumption—critical factors for sustainable and cost-effective crop management.

TowerWatch responds to a growing demand for smarter, more responsive irrigation technologies that support better decision-making in the field. With this release, Lindsay Corporation continues to expand its portfolio of agtech tools aimed at helping growers maximize productivity and protect yields.
