2025 marks my first planting season with Horizon Seeds. After joining the organization in September of 2024, I am very excited to see actual infield performance and product going into the ground. Having been in Agriculture and particularly the seed business for 30 years I never tire of the excitement of a new season. The unknown weather challenges that we will be facing over the next few weeks and months are always trying but I believe confidently that the performance of Horizon products will equal or exceed any products that I’ve worked with in the market.
But the proof is in the pudding as they say and that’s why I’m keen to see planters rolling and seed dropping so that we can see our outstanding early season vigour, begin to separate the best products in farmer fields, research trials and nurseries. For me, May has more to do with learning products and positioning for 2026 and beyond. While there will be a few in season sales, May is really the start of the 2026 season for me, planning plot days, meeting growers and setting us up for further success in 2026.
