
The California Milk Advisory Board (CMAB) has announced a series of strategic leadership promotions aimed at supporting continued domestic and international growth of dairy products made with Real California Milk. The appointments highlight the organization’s commitment to expanding market opportunities and enhancing support for California’s dairy farm families.
Glenn Millar Promoted to Executive Vice President, Strategy and Global Markets
Glenn Millar, who has led CMAB’s international initiatives for over a decade, has been promoted to Executive Vice President, Strategy and Global Markets. Under his leadership, the organization has significantly expanded global distribution, with 724 Real California Milk products now available across Asia, Latin America, and the Middle East. Over the past five years, exports of California cheese have grown by more than 40%, reaching $610 million, while fluid milk exports have doubled to $50 million.
Millar brings over 30 years of experience in the dairy sector, having held leadership roles at Keller’s Creamery, Crystal Creamery, Safeway Stores, and more.
Janet Arellano Named Director, International
Janet Arellano has been appointed Director, International, after eight years managing CMAB’s global growth programs. Her work has led to a 17% increase in California dairy volume in Mexico and the expansion of 132 value-added products in the region. She has also spearheaded market entry efforts in the Middle East and Latin America.
Arellano previously served as Sales Director at Tropical Foods, managing sales across Latin America, Asia, and the Middle East.
Katelyn Harmon Promoted to Vice President, U.S. Business Development
Katelyn Harmon has taken on the role of Vice President, U.S. Business Development. Over the past eight years, she has played a key role in modernizing CMAB’s domestic retail strategies, building e-commerce programs, and strengthening retailer partnerships. In her new role, Harmon will oversee broader strategic efforts, including foodservice business development and key trade event participation.
Before joining CMAB, she worked at The Save Mart Companies, where she contributed to loyalty program expansion and the rollout of online shopping services.
Lizzie Werber Appointed Director, Business Development
Lizzie Werber has been promoted to Director, Business Development following her success as Senior Marketing Manager. She has led several high-impact shopper marketing campaigns, promotional events, and retailer collaborations. Her previous experience includes brand development roles at The Ugly Co. and Murray’s Cheese/Kroger, where she supported national expansion and customer experience strategies.
