The addition of Farm Systems expands Bower Ag’s dairy equipment and manure management capabilities across the Upper Midwest while maintaining local service and support.
Bower Ag today announced the acquisition of Farm Systems, a dairy equipment and manure management company based in Melrose, Minnesota. The acquisition strengthens Bower Ag’s presence in the Upper Midwest and brings together construction, equipment, and service expertise to better support dairy producers across Minnesota, Iowa, and South Dakota.
Farm Systems has served dairy operations in this region for decades and is known for its experience in installing and servicing a wide range of dairy systems, including conventional and robotic milking equipment, manure-handling solutions, and technologies from leading OEM partners such as DeLaval.
As part of Bower Ag, the Farm Systems team will continue operating from its current locations, maintaining the same customer relationships, service approach, and regional focus.
The acquisition reflects Bower Ag’s strategy to align experienced, regionally trusted equipment providers with its broader design-build and construction capabilities. By combining on-farm equipment expertise with facility planning and construction resources, Bower Ag aims to simplify complex projects and provide producers with a more coordinated experience.
“This acquisition is about building on what already works,” said Ryan Calistro, President of Bower Ag. “Farm Systems has earned deep trust with producers in this region. Our role is to support that team with additional resources and coordination, while keeping service local and relationships intact.”
With the addition of Farm Systems, Bower Ag expands its ability to support dairy producers through integrated facility planning, equipment installation and service, and long-term operational support delivered through teams who understand regional challenges and expectations.
“Bower Ag’s vision aligns closely with how we operate at Farm Systems,” said Joel Ledermann, General Manager at Farm Systems, who will serve as a regional Director of Dealerships at Bower Ag. “We’re excited to give our customers access to an expanded network of resources and talent, while continuing to deliver the dedicated service they’ve come to expect.”
In the coming months, Bower Ag will work closely with the Farm Systems team to ensure a seamless transition, with no disruption to service, support, or ongoing projects.
“Producers can expect the same people, the same service, and the same commitment they’ve always relied on,” Calistro added. “What changes is the level of support behind the scenes.”
