Federal, provincial, and territorial governments have extended the AgriStability enrollment deadline for the 2025 program year. Farmers now have until July 31, 2025, to sign up, giving them more time to assess their needs in a challenging environment.

AgriStability is a margin-based program that helps farmers manage large income declines. The extended deadline offers producers extra time to respond to pressures such as production losses, higher input costs, and shifting market conditions. Farmers facing financial difficulties are encouraged to apply for interim payments for quicker access to support.

AgriStability is part of a suite of business risk management (BRM) programs that help farmers handle risks beyond their control. These programs are often the first source of support during disasters and play a key role in protecting farm operations and strengthening the resilience of Canadian agriculture.
